Louis Joel Arts and Community Centre
Louis Joel Arts and Community provides venue hire for a range of diverse activities that includes art classes for children and adults. Venue hire is available for meetings, small parties, cultural events, special occasions, launches and classes. The venue has a whiteboard, audio visual equipment, audio equipment, seating for 50 people and 14 trestle style tables. A kitchen to support light catering including tea/coffee making facilities is also available. The centre has a monitored security alarm and is air conditioned.
We have venue hire spaces for:
Small groups: 10 people
Medium Groups: 25 or 45 people
Large groups: 80 people
The Centre also houses the purpose-built Joel Gallery, which hosts exhibitions by established and emerging artists of all genres, artisans and crafters from Melbourne’s west and further afield.

Joel Garden Gurus
The Joel Garden Gurus is a group of volunteer gardeners creating edible, ornamental and native gardens in the grounds of Louis Joel Arts & Community Centre. New members are welcome.
Repair Cafe Hobsons Bay
Got an item that needs repairing and mending? Bring it along to Repair Café Hobsons Bay. Repairable items include electrical items, clothing, toys, bikes, furniture & crockery. Repair Cafe Hobsons Bay runs monthly on a Saturday afternoon.
Link To Wellness
Link to Wellness is a free program that can support people to find and join activities, groups, classes and volunteering opportunities, as well as connect you with organisations that can help with issues such as housing, finances & unemployment. People can be referred by a medical professional, local organisation, friend or family member, or you can contact the link worker yourself to make a time to chat and find out what support the program can offer you.
